Why have an ESG program? Well, our motto is ‘Social By Nature’. But the truest version of social goes beyond our expertise in social media and social trends. It means doing better by society. Our people, our planet, and our industry are calling for a better world - and we have both the responsibility and the opportunity to be part of the solution.

Yep, that’s our mission. We believe in a better world - and in harnessing the power of creativity to make it happen. If a company full of storytellers and creators has one super power, it’s to solve problems. And dammit, we’re going to use it! Plus, we aim to achieve our goals under our three pillars - Environment, People, and Industry Leadership - by 2025. Better get to it!

A key framework that guides our approach is the Doughnut Economy. The city our HQ lives in, Amsterdam, has committed to being the pioneer for Doughnut Economics: a new way for humans to thrive within planetary and social boundaries. And the SDGs, well, they are the Sustainable Development Goals from the UN - they will also help guide us.

We’re on a journey to become a truly socially and environmentally sustainable company. But we know we’re not there yet - and may never be, as we hope the bar keeps getting set higher and higher!

Our transition won’t happen overnight, and it won’t be perfect, but we can at least try to start fixing what we’ve been breaking (yes, we recognise the advertising industry’s role in perpetuating overconsumption and stereotypes).
