Celebrating 2.5 years of Milo Duyff!
We have been sitting on this egg a bit too long, but 6 months later the 2.5-year anniversary of our Milo Duyff is finally here!
According to Wikipedia doves are usually medium sized, compact birds with a full, round chest and a small head. That’s exactly what could be written on our own Milo Duyff’s Wiki. Well, except for the small head part.
They say it’s good fortune when a white pigeon is released and they were proven to be accurate when Milo Duyff flew into the Boomerang Casa. He immediately spread his wings and with his white skin and red fur it comes as no surprise that this cool bird is an Ajax fan, which is also one of his clients. What else can you wish for? Nothing.
But no, this wasn’t enough for Milo Paloma Blanca. Apart from Account Manager he can also add spare-ribs delivery boy, fake Christmas tree dealer and vegetable gardener to his resume. Milo is a versatile human being, but not when it comes to his lunch habits. He has a strong preference for heavily spiced meat and he doesn’t hesitate to take a detour for it, occasionally in his All-You-Can-Eat-Spareribs-delivery van.
It’s all just compensation, because when all the clients are happily calmed down again in the evening, Milo withdraws himself in his vegetable garden to solely focus on the soothing effect of grubbing in the dirt. He definitely gets his vitamins in.
Despite his towering appearance Milo would never even hurt a fly, so there are no fake crows around the office to scare this pigeon away. In fact, he is so welcome here that we hope he will fly with us to infinity. Thank you for 2.5 3 years at Boomerang!

We hebben iets te lang op dit ei zitten broeden, maar een half jaartje later is hier dan eindelijk het 2,5-jarig jubileum van ons Milo Duyff!
Volgens Wikipedia zijn duiven meestal middelgrote, compact gebouwde vogels met volle, ronde borst en kleine kop. Dat is precies wat er op de Wiki van onze eigen Milo Duyff zou kunnen staan, behalve dat van die kleine kop dan.
Ze zeggen dat het geluk brengt als er een witte duif wordt losgelaten en dat werd maar weer eens bewezen toen Milo de Boomerang Casa in kwam vliegen. Hij was zeker geen vreemde eend in de bijt en sloeg direct zijn vleugels uit. Met zijn witte huid en rode vacht is het dan ook niet raar dat deze toffe vogel fan is van ons aller Ajax is, wat ook nog eens een klant van hem is. Wat wil je nog meer? Niets, zou je zeggen.
Maar het bleek niet genoeg voor Milos Paloma Blanca. Hij kan zichzelf naast accountmanager namelijk ook spareribs bezorger, nepkerstbomenhandelaar en moestuinder noemen. Milo is dus een veelzijdig mens, alleen niet als het aankomt op zijn lunchgewoontes. Hij heeft een fikse voorkeur voor sterk gekruid vlees en daar rijdt hij gerust voor om, al dan niet in zijn All-You-Can-Eat-Spareribs-bezorgmobiel.
Het is allemaal slechts compensatiegedrag, want ’s avonds als hij alle klanten weer tevreden tot kalmte heeft gemaand, trekt de Duyff zich terug in zijn moestuintje om zich enkel bezig te houden met de rustgevende werking van het wroeten in de aarde. Hij krijgt de groentjes heus wel binnen.
Ondanks zijn imposante verschijning doet de Duyff geen vlieg kwaad, er staan hier dan ook nergens nepkraaien om hem te verjagen. Sterker nog, hij is ontzettend welkom en we hopen dat hij nog jarenlang bij ons blijft. Bedankt voor alweer 2,5 3 jaar Boomerang!
